EU simplifies recognition of public documents in other EU countries

More and more people are moving to another EU country for professional or private reasons. A move abroad brings with it a multitude of bureaucratic hurdles. Since 16 February 2019, new EU-wide rules have been in force which put an end to the previous administrative procedure for the recognition of public documents.

In France, debt collection and interest on unpaid invoices are mostly regulated by the provisions of article L441-6 of the Commercial Code as well as by additional rules which apply to judicial decisions and rules of civil procedure.

EARN partners meet in Berlin

The European lawyers' network EARN, which has been in existence for seven years now, continues to grow: At this year's meeting of the partner law firms, some new faces were again found among the participants. This year's host was the law firm PASCHEN Rechtsanwälte, which extended an invitation to Berlin on 23 and 24 November 2018.
